Mother’s Love

Once a man pulled over his car at a flower-shop to order some flowers to be posted to his mother who lived one hundred miles away. When he came out of his car he noticed a young girl sitting on the footpath weeping. The man asked her what the matter with her was. The girl replied that she wanted to buy a red rose for her mother and said, “I don’t have enough money to buy it.” The man who was a good person smiled and said, “Come with me. I’ll buy you a fresh rose.” He bought the little girl her rose and also ordered for his own mother’s flowers. When they were leaving he offered the girl a lift home. She happily said, “Yes, please! I would be happy if you can take me to my mother.” She directed him to a cemetery, where she placed the rose on a freshly dug grave. The man returned to the flower shop, canceled the wire order, picked up a bouquet and drove the two hundred miles to his mother’s house.
