Answer: 
The Sun is the largest body and the centre of our solar system. It is important for life on Earth as energy from the Sun provides heat and light. It is shaped like a sphere and is a huge ball of hot gases. It is actually a star, but looks big because it is close to the Earth.

Answer: 
a. Revolution is the Earth's movement around the Sun.
 b. Rotation is the Earth's movement on its own axis

Definition of Solar System
The Solar System is made up of all the planets that orbit our Sun. In addition to planets, the Solar System also consists of moons, comets, asteroids, minor planets, and dust and gas. Everything in the Solar System orbits or revolves around the Sun.

Book Reading As My Hobby

Any activity a person likes to do in his spare time is called our hobby. Hobbies are of different kinds. Almost every person has his own hobby. Gardening, stamp collecting, music, movies and cycling are some of the hobbies. But my favourite hobby is book reading. I have a big collection of books on different topics.

Books reading provide us both knowledge and pleasure. It brings perfection in one's life. It provides us mental exercise. It keeps one's mind busy and active. It increases the intelligence level. Due to this activity I am well-equipped to cope with my living.

Instead of wasting money in other activities, I buy books. I read them in my spare time. I also ask my friends to read these books. Book reading is far better than other hobbies. I am proud of my hobby. I really enjoy this hobby. I always suggest to my friends adopt this good habit of book reading.

Once there was a crow that was very thirsty. He flew here and there in search of water but could not find it. At last he reached a garden where he saw a pitcher under a tree. The water was very low. He tried but failed. He was very wise. He thought of a clever plan. He put small pebbles into it one by one. The water rose up. He drank it and flew away.

A Rainy Day

The sky was dark and overcast. It had been raining since last night. There was no sign that it would stop. As it poured outside, I sat by the window to watch the rain. The green park in front of my house looked even more green and fresh. The branches of the tall trees were waving beautifully. Out on the road there were very few people who were carrying umbrellas. In the evening, we made paper boats for sailing in the rain water outside. It was a wonderful day. We really enjoyed the downpour.

The name of my country is Pakistan which came into being on 14th August 1947.as an independent Islamic state. Our forefathers struggled hard for it.. I feel proud when I call myself Pakistani. Pakistan means the land of the holy people. It is a democratic country where the government is elected by vote. It's a land of ancient culture and traditions.  

Our country is basically an agricultural country. It is rich in minerals, agricultural products, consumer goods, spices, textiles, etc. There are high mountains, long rivers and green pastures. 

Our country is a major nuclear power struggling to make progress in science and technology. Pakistani army always sacrifices their lives to protect it from the enemies.

Pakistan's population is increasing day by day. Its population comprises various castes, religions, languages and customs. But there is unity in diversity. Our national anthem is Pak Sir Zameen Shaad Baad. We sing it everyday in the morning assembly.
