Travelling and Its Educative Purpose

Importance of Travelling

What does travelling means?
Travelling means to visit new places, cities, health resorts or countries. Wherever we travel has a purpose in one way or the other. We may travel to buildings or places of historical significance. We may travel to the cities which are mostly the centers of business, trades, industry or learning institutes. Other places to which we can arrange our visits may be our towns or villages in our country.

Travelling Increases Our Knowledge of the Past People
What we get from travelling is learning new information and knowledge about new things there. We learn about history when we visit historically important buildings or places. We learn a lot about the kings or rulers of olden times who constructed such buildings. We can, for example, think about how and why they constructed forts. When we visit these forts, we come to know how much those kings were interesting in fighting and defense. When we go around their beautiful palaces, we learn how much they were interested in art or architecture.

We Know A Lot About The Profession of People
While travelling we learn about the different trades and professions of the people living there. When we go to the different provinces and districts of our country, we learn how the people earn their living and how they spent their free time. Similarly, we learn about the trades and occupations of the people of other countries while travelling through it.

Without Travelling Our Knowledge is Incomplete
It must be admitted that the learning process of a student is incomplete What is needed is that educational institutions and tourist bureaus must often arranges study tours and trips. It is a great part of their education that many schools and colleges arrange visit to places that are of geographical or historical importance.

Travelling Makes Us Wise
Travelling really teaches us much and makes us experienced and wise. Nowadays we easily find books of famous people. These books are call travelogues. While reading them we feel as if we ourselves are moving with the writers through different sites and societies. Thus, these writers benefit us through their experiences of travelling

Tourist Meetings and Seminars
We need to establish travel societies in our cities and towns. These societies can arrange meetings of those who are fond of travelling where famous travelers can lecture to their benefit. Tours through the country and to other countries can be arranged with mutual cooperation. The tourism department of the government can work together with these travel societies for better results.
